How do you think this would perform with a responsive design where you had variable width columns?

You would need something to monitor the change in site width to clear out and rerun the .matchHeights() plugin. This is because the plugin currently doesn’t have built in support for these features. Something along the lines of this https://gist.github.com/3114513

In a later version I hope to look into giving the plugin the ability to have native support for responsive usage.

matchHeights

  • jQuery

jQuery plugin used to equalize parallel columns or any other elements. Aiding in the structure of grid-based layouts to avoid breaking the alignment.

Configurable options:

  • minHeight: null, optional minimum height setting
  • maxHeight: null, optional maximum height setting, forced height instead of min-height
  • overflow: false, sets overflow to be hidden. Default is false; overflow attribute not set
